Say No to Tom Prince by 123 on 3/14/2018 In June of 2017, I entered into a policy (838617294) with Allstate Insurance Company with Agency Owner Tom Prince. I specifically set up this policy for automatic withdrawal every month as I live very far from this Allstate office. I also didn't want to have payment issues with sending checks through the mail. I gave the office all of my payment information including the checking account that would be linked with my policy for payment. In August of 2017 the insurance agency said that my policy was in danger of being cancelled due to a payment difference of $7.35. So I wrote a check and mailed it to the local office. I find this very hard to believe as I set up my account for automatic payment. I even gave my bank account information to the insurance company on two different occasions. I really feel they made a clerical error and entered my information incorrectly which caused a payment difference. This then led to my policy being cancelled because of the payment difference that was received via mail. Before I mailed out the payment, the insurance agency ensured me that they would take care of everything and even "back date" my policy if they needed too. But my policy was cancelled anyway. They then created a new policy for me (838799435) because they said that when a policy is cancelled they need to create a new policy to be insured again. However, I received a notice from the DMV saying that I had a lapse of coverage and that they required proof of coverage during that time period. I immediately notified my insurance agency by phone but they never answer and I left a message. I kept leaving messages until I finally got a answering machine message from them saying everything was ok and not to worry. This was right before I went to the hospital for a week.My son and I have called several times but they almost never answer their phone. My son even visited in person but still nothing. I am elderly, hard of hearing, and handicapped. Please help.My car registration should be reinstated, my lapse of coverage should be resolved, and my insurance agency/company should pay the fine and any fees related to the lapse in coverage. As of January 2018, I have now been forced to pay a $251 fine at the DMV to reinstate my registration for Mr. Prince’s incompetence and highly unprofessional business practices. I have also taken my business to PROGRESSIVE where I know they will treat with respect, kindness, and human decency. If you are elderly, widowed, or handicapped such as I am DO NOT DO BUSINESS with Tom Prince and any of his offices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They do not care and he is very condescending!
