Good Quick Japanese Food by Kristi V via Insider Pages on 6/29/2008
Kiku's is a busy little Japanese cafe in the U District. There is a small amount of seating space and they also do a large take-out business. The place is always filled with Asian students, which speaks to the quality of the food. I like…
best teriyaki on the Ave by jetleigh via Menuism on 10/3/2006
Portion sizes are extremely generous - you definetely get your money's worth here. They've got all the...
An 8.0 on the Dan Teriyaki Scale by Dan S. via Judy's Book on 3/3/2006
Solid solid place, they char the chicken just right and service is fast. Portions are enormous and they have 8039 items to choose from if you like selection. Stay away from the sushi, but you didn't go there for that right?
Order the vegetable/tofu yakisoba! by Erica W. via Judy's Book on 3/1/2006
For just over five bucks, you can get a clamshell styrofoam takeout box mounded full of yakisoba noodles and vegetables (and tofu, if you like). I don't think I've ever eaten anything else from this restaurant, but that particular dish is…
Great Takeout by Arion P. via Judy's Book on 8/20/2005
This Ave joint has great Japanese takeout. Tempura, gyoza, calimari (calimary on the menu), tonkatsu, korokke, what-have-you. The potions are enormous, the food good and the staff helpful. If you call ahead, they'll happily have it ready…
Not as great as it used to be by Bryan H. via Judy's Book on 8/17/2005
I was a satisfied regular at Kiku until new owners decided to redecorate and shake-up the menu. The old Kiku used to offer above average food in very generous portions at a great price. Sadly, the new Kiku seems to serve up average food …
Cheap food, fast service, low quality by Ethel E. via Judy's Book on 9/22/2004
For about the same price per meal you could go to University Teriyaki just down the road and get some great Teriyaki, still cheap. The food at Kiku's is okay and occasionally good, but the atmosphere is fast-food-like. With so many other…
Tastes good, but... by Brian b. via Judy's Book on 9/22/2004
watch out for the chicken. I know 2 people that have gotten food poisoning from here and I'm the 3rd. With that said, I used to eat here twice a week for about 4 years, so the odds weren't that bad...;-), if you're in to gambling.
