Central Imaging has been proudly serving Pinellas County since 1998. To date, we have performed over 50,000 MRI scans. We are a family owned and operated business. At Central Imaging, our patients are our highest priority. Compassionate: We have built our business around an OPEN MRI, specialized for claustrophobic patients. We understand phobias and apprehension, and our staff is specially trained to comfort claustrophobic patients. As a result, we have years of experience in comforting and calming patients. It is our #1 priority that you complete the imaging study your doctor has ordered for your health. Affordable: We understand rising healthcare costs and increasing deductibles have affected our patients. As a free-standing imaging center, many times we can provide the same services as hospital imaging centers at a fraction of the cost. We utilize the same equipment as you will find in hospitals, but since we are only focused on diagnostic imaging, we are able to deliver the same services at a more efficient cost to you. Our staff will contact your insurance company prior to your appointment. We will give you an estimate of the cost prior to your arrival. We believe it is important that patients make informed decisions about their own healthcare. Accommodating: Patients may bring a friend or family member with them to their appointment. If the patient chooses, the friend or family member may sit with the patient during their scan. Our scanner is also equipped with a music system. Patients can listen to their favorite radio station or bring their favorite CD. We have a selection of CDs from which to choose. Qualified: All of our technologists are certified by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) and have additional certifications for the specific tests they provide. Our facility is accredited by the Joint Commission (JCAHO) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Both organizations require the highest quality in technology and safety for patients. All of our radiologists are board certified by the American Board of Radiology. Convenient: Scheduling can be done online, by phone or by fax. Our hours of operation allow patients with busy schedules to have their tests done at times convenient for them. We offer early morning, night and weekend appointments for MRIs. We have parking located right outside the reception area, with no long walks from a parking garage.
