We at First Lutheran firmly believe the great doctrines of historic Christianity as they are revealed in the Bible and the Lutheran Confessions. A brief summary is as follows:

LCMS - Lutherans Believe: (The Bible) That the Bible is the source of knowledge about God and His forgiveness. And it is through the Bible He speaks to us today. The Bible was written by men who were inspired (inspiration) by the Holy Spirit and so every word in the Bible is true and without error. We also believe that all the facts related in it are absolutely true and without error (infallible and inerrant). We believe that all we hold to be true, teach and confess must be in agreement with this same Word.
