I’m Shannan Pruitt. I am president and CEO of Medicare Insurance Resources. I have been helping people with Medicare for more than 23 years, and yeah, I do want to help. I don’t think anyone should ever be put on a plan until they know their full options and I need to understand what you want in a plan. Medicare is your health insurance for the rest of your life, and I want to make sure I get this right for you. What you don’t know can most definitely hurt you.

I’m not your fly by night agent that swoops in and places you on a plan then runs away and you never see them again and I don’t believe in changing your plan every year unless you’re truly going to get more benefits by doing it, I want to make sure it’s truly going to help you. I believe education is a cornerstone in deciding on healthcare. If you don’t have the correct plan that you want it can be very stressful. I have a saying; I have always told all my clients. You can’t stress until I stress, and I am not stressing lol

I have been doing this for a while. I know a few things; I don’t know it all, but if there’s ever a time, I don’t know the answer to a question you have. I have 2 options I can make it up and make it sound good or I can research and find the right answer. I prefer the latter.

I know with all the commercials with the big stars the JJ’s and Joe's it’s hard to know the truth about what’s really going on in the state of Arkansas with Medicare. That’s why I only focus on my home state. I do have agents in other states, but I do not know their states like I know mine and that’s why it is so important to find a local agent in your home state. Your local independent agent will know the doctors and hospitals. They will know where each plan differs, and which supplements have the lowest premiums. They know their home state.
