My approach to patient care is holistic and collaborative. I greatly value a patient’s lived experiences and how biopsychosocial factors may be contributing to his/her current concerns. The patient is the expert of their life and I help to facilitate change by incorporating empathy, supportive listening, and therapeutic approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive-Behavioral/Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Additionally, I believe that the most effective patient care includes collaboration between all the patient’s providers. I strive to engage in clear and open communication with my colleagues to determine the best plan of care for the patient.
