Cookies and Web Beacons
When you visit an EZlocal web page or Service, a cookie that uniquely identifies your browser may be sent to your computer or mobile device. A “cookie” is a small file containing your preferences that is sent to your browser and sent back by your browser each time your browser accesses our servers. EZlocal may set and access cookies on your computer to provide you with customized content. Most cookies are “session cookies,” which automatically delete themselves from your hard drive after each session. You are always free to decline these cookies if your browser permits, however, you may not be able to use certain features.
Like many Internet companies, EZlocal may automatically track information based upon your behavior on our Site. We use this information for research purposes to better understand, protect and service our customers. The information we track may include such information as browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, platform type, date/time stamp, IP address and number of clicks to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track user’s movement in the aggregate, and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use. EZlocal respects your privacy and this information is not linked to any personally identifiable information, except as may be needed to prevent fraud or abuse of the Site. EZlocal works with third parties to serve ads on our Sites. These ads may contain cookies and/or action tags (also known as single pixel gifs or web beacons) to measure advertising effectiveness and gather completely anonymous information. We have no access to or control over these cookies or action tags.
We currently use the services of web analytics companies to help us measure the effectiveness of our Service, including the advertising on the Service. To do this, we allow the web analytics companies to include web beacons and cookies on business profiles and search results pages. The type of information collected via such web beacons and cookies includes search terms, search parameters, click-throughs by users, and other similar information. By supplementing our records, this information helps us learn things like user preferences, popular search categories, click-through rates, how to improve our Service, and what kinds of offers our users like to see. Although our web analytics companies log this information on our behalf, we control how that data may be used.
Do we Share Information with Third Parties?
