Alex Liu, MD

Dr. Alex Liu is an Arizona native raised in Gilbert and Mesa. He obtained his MD from the University of Arizona College of Medicine in Tucson, AZ. He then completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mayo Clinic, AZ, and stayed at Mayo Clinic for fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology.

Dr. Liu specializes in Hematology, Medical Oncology, and Internal Medicine. He has presented research at national cancer conferences including NANETS, ASCO GI, and ASCO. He has also been published on topics such as breast cancer, gastrointestinal cancers, lung cancer, prostate cancer, and neuroendocrine tumors. His clinical interests also include the treatment of lymphoma, myeloma, and blood disorders.

Dr. Liu effectively utilizes up-to-date patient-centered care with a team-based multidisciplinary approach to best serve his patients including support to maintain their quality of life while undergoing treatment.

In his free time, Dr. Liu enjoys spending time with his wife and son, traveling, trying new restaurants, watching movies, and playing basketball.
