Elfat Rumman, MD

As a board-certified internal medicine specialist, she focuses on prevention tactics and healthy lifestyle changes to minimize patients’ need for medications. 
Before settling to practice near Phoenix, Dr. Rumman attended medical school in Syria at the University of Aleppo. After graduating in 2006, she completed an observership in internal medicine and cardiology at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital and Texas Heart Institute in Houston. In 2010, she moved to New York for her residency in internal medicine at Cornell-affiliated Lincoln Medical Hospital in the Bronx, New York. 
Today, Dr. Rumman is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Syrian-American Medical Society. At Dr. Elfat Rumman, MD, she frequently helps patients lose weight with individualized plans and holistically treats common conditions like gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), hypertension, hypothyroidism, and even the common cold and flu.
Dr. Rumman is fluent in both English and Arabic. When she’s away from the office, she loves to travel, hike, and do yoga to stay in shape. She also has an avid interest in theater.
