Brandie Burckhard, NP

Brandie Burckhard, NP, is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with more than 20 years of nursing experience, specializing in obesity medicine and bariatric surgery. She provides comprehensive obesity assessments and staging, as well as preoperative and postoperative bariatric surgery management. Her clinical interests include nutritional therapy and portion management, pharmacotherapy for weight management, exercise and physical activity counseling, behavioral modification and chronic disease risk reduction.

Brandie takes an empathetic, individualized approach to care and believes effective obesity treatment is not one size fits all. She partners with patients to understand their individual challenges, set realistic goals and provide ongoing support through regular follow-up visits and 24/7 patient outreach. Her practice focuses on celebrating progress, building confidence and fostering sustainable lifestyle changes.

Originally from Grand Forks, North Dakota, Brandie enjoys traveling and sightseeing, spending time with family and friends, walking her dog and cooking.
