The word Premier and its staple red P is a common image in Wickenburg. Whether welcoming visitors in the form of a billboard when traveling along US60 or on the side of the moving truck sharing the road with drivers throughout town. Soon, the Premier brand will appear alongside the words True Value and Lumber. Jesus “Chuey” Gonzalez, who already owns Premier Landscaping, Premier Moving and Premier Hay, took over ownership of Johnson’s True Value Lumber earlier this month. The day after the paperwork went through, Gonzalez already had the wheels spinning and the showroom floor alive with activity. With respect for the fact that the lumber yard has been in the Johnson family for the better part of 75 years, Gonzalez said he wants to balance the past with the future.
