Hi there! We are Matt and Jess of Matt Cramer Photography. We are a Los Angeles based husband and wife photography team that specializes in newborn and baby photography. We are most known for our tastefully styled and beautifully lit photos where your baby is the main focus. We do not use distracting themes or props or overpowering colors. Instead we use mostly neutral or subtle color palette and understated props. Since 2011, we have photographed over 1600+ babies, and are humbled every time parents choose us to document their most precious part of their lives. Our tiny clients come from all over Los Angeles to see us!

Mini Newborn Swaddle Session

Newborn Photography Los Angeles | Mini Swaddle Mini Newborn Swaddle Collection: 1-1.5 hours photoshoot for newborn only. This is a condensed session where baby is fully swaddled and photographed in a variety of set ups and looks. Macro/close up shots and details are included. Does not include bare baby poses or parent/sibling shots. all props, wraps, hats, floral headbands, backgrounds, etc. are provided.

Classic Newborn Session

Newborn Photography Los Angeles | Classic Collection 2-2.5 hours photoshoot for newborn only. Includes a combination of both bare baby poses and swaddled set ups and looks. Macro/close up shots and details are included. Does not include parent/sibling shots. All props, wraps, hats, floral headbands, backgrounds, etc. are provided.

Deluxe Family Newborn Session

Newborn Photography Los Angeles | Deluxe Collection 2.5-3 hours photoshoot for newborn + mom + dad + sibling(s) Includes a combination of bare baby poses, swaddled set ups, macro/close ups and baby with parents + sibling(s) Siblings three years old and older can be included. All props, wraps, hats, floral headbands, backgrounds, etc. are provided.

Baby Milestone Session

Baby Photography Los Angeles, CA | Sitter Milestone 1-1.5 hours photoshoot for babies between 6-8 months old who are sitting up completely independently. Baby must be a solid sitter, no wobbling! Includes up to three outfits/looks from our beautiful collection of outfits. All outfits, headbands, props, backgrounds, etc. are provided. Chose from two session times: 10:30am or 11:30am, considering baby's nap schedule

First Birthday Cake Smash Session

Cake Smash Photography Los Angeles, CA | One Year Mileston 1-1.5 hours photoshoot for babies celebrating their first birthday! Includes up to two outfits/looks in addition to the actual cake smash. Includes custom cake, "1" topper, stand and balloons in discussed colors. This is a messy session! We provide everything for your newborn! Swaddles, accessories, hats, headbands and props. For Mom: We've got you covered! We have a nice selection of beautiful cream lace accented tops in a variety of size, styles and colors here- plenty to choose from! If you have a special top from home that you want to bring, that's great too- we prefer neutral, soft colors in softer flowing fabrics. But please do not worry about bringing more than a few tops. We tell moms that they can actually bring nothing at all, and we have enough here to work with. Of all the mommy/baby shots in our newborn portfolio, 95% are of moms wearing tops from our collection. For Dad: a nicer/casual short sleeve tee shirt and a nicer button up shirt in any neutral color (tans, oatmeal, browns, grays, blues, etc.). Subtle pattern is ok. NO white tee shirts or white button up shirts- nothing white. For Big Brothers: on boys we love neutral colored, solid tees, subtle pattern button up shirts and denim shirts too! The key is neutral and not too busy patterns or loud colors. :) Neutral bottoms like cargos or denim bottoms would great too. For Big Sisters: we have them covered! We love to photograph sibling sisters in lace accented dresses. We have quite a few here to choose from fitting ages 3-5 years old.

Yes, to achieve the style of newborn photography we offer, 2 months is too late. If we have a client contact us when baby is 2 months or older, we suggest they wait until the 6 month baby milestone session we offer called the "Sitter" session.

Not at all! We photograph 3 week old babies all the time. We just hope that baby is still sleepy and can capture those peaceful newborn photos. We give parents an at home prep guide with some tips on how to hopefully keep baby asleep for longer during their newborn session with us!

We can capture newborn style photos up until about 5 weeks old. Baby will likely be swaddled for most of the session, but we still capture gorgeous images!

The best time for newborn photos is 8-17 days old.
