Mark Powell and Tracy Roberts have nearly 40 years of combined estate planning experience. Both Mark and Tracy spent the early years of their careers in the trusts and estates practices at some of the largest law firms in Southern California, where they developed technical skills and experiential knowledge that few estate planners possess. For the last 10 years, estate planning has undergone significant changes. Tax laws have relaxed, reducing the need for complexity in many estate plans, but law firm billing practices intensified, leading most firms to focus on complex work for ultra-high net worth estates to justify top billing rates. It is harder than ever to find experienced estate planners who believe your plan should be no more and no less complicated than you need. That is what Mark and Tracy set out to do when they established Powell Roberts, Inc.
