Club Royal Oak

Established in 2006, Club Royal Oak rose from the ashes of Royal Oak Resort, formerly Royal Oak Park, that had gone out of business in 2004. The founding family invested their time and all of their inheritance and savings to purchase the completely destroyed property, buildings, and infrastructure as a promise to their dying mother who had spent many summers there with her family and friends. Over the next decade and more, more than $1.9 million in improvements to the buildings and infrastructure have been completed. The electrical and waste disposal systems were upgraded and expanded to the large 95 grass and tree covered sites including the 36 riverfront sites. 5 "tent sites" without power or septic disposal remain. The goal has always been to create a community feel to the now security gated resort and to create second homes for many families.
