Attic Insulation
Improve your home?s overall efficiency & reduce outdoor ambient noise
A well insulated attic may be the difference between turning on the air conditioner or heater or being able to leave it off on days that are "warm" but not "hot", or "cool" but not "cold.? Second, on those days where an air conditioner is necessary in the day, evenings can often be cooled with fans and opening the widows. Having these times where no utilities are running can make a big difference to your annual utility bills.

Radiant Barrier
A radiant barrier is a foil applied to the underside of the roof. The foil will bounce back the radiant heat produced by the sun. As the sun heats the roof the radiant heat in then transferred into the attic. See the image to the right to better understand how radiant barriers work.

New Windows
Replacing your home?s old windows are a great investment in your home and will greatly increase your house?s curb appeal. Installing new windows is also a minimally invasive improvement that can usually be completed in a weekend. Consider swapping out your old windows for a new window that will last for many years.


Attic and House Fans
Attic Fans and Whole House Fans work in conjunction with the rest of your home's energy efficiency. In the summer months when the attic gets hot the attic fans will turn on. They will pull in cooler outside air through the bottom vents and blow the hot air out. By removing out the hottest air and drawing in cooler air the attic temperature will decrease.
House fans work by pulling hot air out of the house, while attic fans pull hot air out of the attic, reducing the amount of heat that permeates the living space, therefore reducing the strain on the air conditioning unit.

Flooring
New Flooring can transition a plain looking house into a modern fresh looking home. Even flooring can add to a home's comfort with heating options in today flooring.
Saving Energy Construction installs wood flooring, laminate flooring and tile flooring. Heating elements are available to be placed under the flooring during installation allowing you to heat only the room you are using.
When used properly, heated floors can be reduce utilities by only heating rooms in use. For large homes where the "empty-nesters" live, the once used and now empty kids bedrooms can be closed off and only heat the rooms currently used.
