Not only is the ride to the top of mountain fun once you get to the top you get a breathtaking view of the valley below. We love packing a picnic lunch to enjoy after hiking through the woods checking out the wildlife.

It is a nice thing to do when you are out in that area. The tram takes you up the mountain and the temperature drops significantly when you get to the top and I went in the middle of summer you know how hot it can be in Palm Springs. Nice…
Beatiful tram ride to the top of the desert mountains by Terri G via Insider Pages on 5/13/2006
The tram ride is afun excursion for both young and old. The ride itself is fun. Once at the top, you can hike around. Late spring and early summer is great as there still may be some snow (even though you can wear shorts) and the…

A wonderful place to visit if you're a tourist or a local here in the COachella Valley. The tramway is probably one of the best known and famous for it's lift that takes you from the bottom portion of the mountain to the mountain top where…

I love going on the tram. Whenever I have out of town guests I make sure to take them on this little trip. It's so nice to see everything from so high. They have a decent restaurant at the top, but we usually bring a picnic or a snack. …
Palm Springs Aerial Tram offers glorious views and excitement by Loryn W via Insider Pages on 7/29/2005
Located at the very beginning of town, the Aerial Tram takes visitors on a dizzying trip 2.5 miles up the beautiful Chino Canyon. Though it is a bit pricey ($21.50 for adults, $14.50 for kids), it's worth it to trade the heat of the valley…

I'm a Palm Springs native and have been on the tram at least 20 times. The ride is exciting, the views incredible, and the hiking and cross-country skiing at the top are awesome. You can find easy, moderate, and difficult hikes. Bring a…
Best? Nice view but by zagatreviewer via Citysearch on 7/6/2003
Facilities are old, the service is non existent, the prices are high and the food is on calibre with 1970's football or baseball stadium food. For view, it is fine. For food, please. The owner is cheap and unwilling to invest in making…
