I was looking for a special restaurant to celebrate my husband birthday. He loves French food. Gervais was a great choice! We started with escargot and foie gras. They wer both wonderful. The foei gras was parried with a sauterne that…

Valentines Day---broke my heart by tahoe4u via Citysearch on 2/15/2006

This was to be a night of celebrating our engagement. An hour to be seated WITH A RESERVATION. They asked us to wait at another restaurant and use "their" bar. We waited 1/2 hour to have our order taken and 1/2 hour between courses. The…

fabulous dining by sdehdari via Citysearch on 1/10/2005

Restaurant Gervais offers one of the best dining in the bay area. If you are a real food lover and not just looking for hyped up cafeteria food, you will love this place. The Foie Gras appetizer is out of this world and changes seasonally.…

Gervais: Under new management by jminton via Citysearch on 7/21/2003

Under new management, the new menu is exceptional! It is not adhering to a strictly French menu, but the styles of preparation are all true to form and classic. The filet mignon with foie gras is great, but the veal chop on top of morel…
