This charming, unpretentious American bistro occupies a Spanish Mission-style building in the heart of South Pasadena. Dark-stained, candlelit tables are squeezed into the intimate space, and others occupy a garden patio in front. Like the… Read Full Editorial

Great breakfast or lunch spot by Teresa P via Insider Pages on 8/13/2009
Great rustic breakfast with a healthy edge with their fresh and homemade foods. Toast is thick and delicious with butter and jam and goes great with their house-made corned beef hash. Have had lunch there to and the Salmon salad was…
Nice little restaurant by Edward P via Insider Pages on 8/13/2009
This place has good breakfasts - tasty walnut bread instead of regular toast and country potatoes instead of regular hashbrowns. It is a little bit upscale but the prices are reasonable.
Not for lunch, or for that matter maybe not for dinner either by shenoa via Citysearch on 2/2/2009
BRUNCH REVIEW:\r
I've had dinner here several times, and it's always been great food with great atmosphere- especially since they've expanded into the bar next door. Their meat dishes are delicious and just about everything we've ordered…
Best breakfast in South Pasadena by lustforfood123 via Citysearch on 1/1/2009
Mike and Anne's has the best breakfast in town. Pancakes are yummy. Cooked my eggs perfecttly and I am fussy. Love the atmosphere inside and outside eating. My favorite restaurant.
Great local place to start the weekend by CD8753 via Citysearch on 10/17/2008
This has become a regular place for my husband and I to meet while our daughter is at her writing tutor's. We'll often share a couple of appetizers at the bar and check in with each other. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the dishes we've…
ok food and TERRIBLE service by trjnfan via Citysearch on 9/10/2008
My wife and I went to Mike and Anne's Restaurant for breakfast on a recommendation. Remind me to sm@ck around the source. Anyhow, we get there around 10am and were sitted promptly, then our "slick" waiter comes over thinking he was…
mediocre food and service by rachedla via Citysearch on 7/5/2008
My husband and I have been wanting to try Mike and Anne's since it opened. Finally we got the urge to stop by last Wednesday -but what a disappointment. (and we were really hungry too) The salad I ordered had lettuce so wilted it was…
Good Food Poor Service by chopranik via Citysearch on 4/23/2008
I guess most of the reviews have done a pretty good job of describing the place, the food was ok,the service is definitely slow and Lazy and on top of it the waitress ended up spilling whole tray of water over one of us. Overall it is at a…
Worst Service in Southern California by pasadenabob via Citysearch on 3/22/2008
This place has problems. I showed up at the time of my reservation only to be told that is the restaurants policy not to honor reservations. I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't. I could not ascertain why they take reservations if they…
WORST SERVICE - Totally Ignored by ndindling via Citysearch on 10/26/2007
We were really excited to try this nice looking restaurant right in our new neighborhood. We recently moved to South Pasadena. We got there and were seated very uneventfully, the rest of the time there was just that, uneventful. We sat…

From a local's point of view by eafn via Citysearch on 9/16/2007
My family and I recently discovered this place, and I recommend it highly. This is where we take guests when they come to visit if they want a delicious but not fancy meal. The service is always friendly; in fact, one waiter remembered…
Friendly service & good food! by cjoe via Citysearch on 9/2/2007
We had a very late dinner (9:30pm) on the patio which was very pleasant. Our waitress was very helpful and our water glasses were kept full. We shared a bowl of New Zealand mussels for a starter. These were delicious and only one of the…
The worst service I've ever received ANYWHERE, mediocre food. by genneva via Citysearch on 8/7/2007
What a disappointment! My husband and I went there for a relaxing dinner on a Tuesday night around 7:30pm. We ordered our wine, appetizers, and entree right away. Our appetizer (delivered by someone other than our server) arrived about…
Stylish South Pasadena bistro dishes up refined French-Cal cuisine amid olive trees and Mission-era decor. by Martha Burr via Citysearch on 1/5/2007
In Short
Tucked into the corner of a small mini-mall, this quiet spot offers al fresco dining amid olive trees, market umbrellas and lavender. Inside, the elegant room feauters restored 1930s wood beams arching above white walls…
