Jeremiah J. Lewis

J. James Lewis, MD, specializes in internal medicine at Stamford Health. He provides expert care and guidance for patients and focuses on prevention, diagnosis and treatment.

He received a Bachelor of Science degree with distinction in mechanical engineering from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY and his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York, Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He completed his internship and residency at University of Rochester, Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

Dr. Lewis has a teaching appointment as clinical preceptor at Yale University School of Nursing in New Haven, CT since 2007 and he is an associate medical staff consultant at Silver Hill Hospital in New Canaan, CT. He is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Connecticut State Medical Society. He enjoys foreign languages and is fluent in German, proficient in French and learning Spanish.
