Pera Kebap D.C. was founded by two passionate chefs, Fikri and Kenan, whose deep love for their homelands' culinary traditions brings an authentic Eastern Mediterranean dining experience to Washington, D.C. Fikri, a master chef from the Kurdish region of Turkey, and Kenan, who grew up in Istanbul and established restaurants across the Middle East, bring their expertise and heritage together to celebrate the vibrant flavors of Turkish, Kurdish, Greek, Syrian, and Armenian cuisines. Their collaboration reflects a dedication to authenticity and quality. By embracing traditional cooking methods—like using a unique charcoal grill and sourcing fresh, local ingredients, including farm-to-table lamb from a Maryland Amish farm—Fikri and Kenan create meals that honor their roots while delivering unforgettable flavors.
