Since 1994, Fatty’s has established itself as the best tattoo and piercing shop in the Washington DC/Maryland/Virginia metro area. We are the region’s leader for custom tattooing, body piercing & high quality body jewelry. Fatty’s has 3 convenient locations in Maryland and Washington DC all which are accessible via the Red line Metro.

Our tattooists are award winning, multi-faceted, mixed media artists who strive for excellence in their various art forms. We specialize in high quality, custom tattooing. You will notice when entering Fatty’s that our walls are not covered with the typical, corny “pick em and stick em” tattoo flash that you see everywhere else. Our walls proudly display fine art paintings by Fatty and the crew.

All of our piercers are experienced, professionally trained, and are dedicated to their craft. Fatty’s only sells high quality, internally threaded jewelry for the best piercing results possible. We are the metro area’s exclusive carriers of various jewelry pieces from BVLA, Anatometal, Gorilla Glass, Neometal, and SM316. Our large selection of body jewelry is like no other in our region, and we are always happy to make special orders for your jewelry needs.

You must be at least 18 to get body art in DC. You must be at least 18 to get tattooed in Maryland. We will perform limited piercings on minors only out of our Silver Spring location (see our “Piercing Hours & Pricing” page for a full list).
