Rebecca Henry Shaffer, MD

Rebecca Shaffer, M.D., is an infectious disease physician with Johns Hopkins Community Physicians. Dr. Shaffer cares for patients who need in-patient/hospital-based infectious disease management, as well as out-patient general infectious disease care. She has specialized expertise in HIV, HIV prevention, urinary tract infections, soft tissue infections, orthopedic infections and fever of unknown origin.

As a physician, she enjoys engaging with her patients in collaborative partnerships to achieve the best possible outcomes and optimize infection prevention. Dr. Shaffer provides a welcoming space to discuss concerns, to be heard and to move forward together with a clear plan.

Dr. Shaffer and her family live in Maryland. In her free time, she enjoys attending live music performances, playing golf and fly fishing.
