A non-profit international educational organization with partners in more than 60 different countries, Youth For Understanding is one of the world’s oldest, largest and most respected intercultural exchange programs.

Since 1951, Youth For Understanding (YFU) has been a leader in youth exchange programs. YFU has offices in more than 60 countries. Through the exchange experience YFU students gain skills and perspectives that help them meet the challenges and opportunities of our fast-changing global community. YFU host families gain a new family member, connect and learn about the world (without leaving home), gain a new perspective on their community and have lifelong memories.
