Jarvis, III is a lifelong Santa Rosa County resident and a product of its school system, having attended and graduated from Gulf Breeze Elementary, Middle and High Schools. In 1980 John graduated from Florida State University with as BS degree in Risk Management/Insurance. After three years of employment as a Commercial Property Underwriter for a large insurance company, Aetna Life and Casualty. the decision was made to go to law school. John then went on to obtain his Juris Doctorate at Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham, Alabama. From 2003 - 2005, John was the sole defense counsel team member for the Escambia County Drug Court program has been a model for other programs nationwide. John is a member of the Florida Ass ociation of Drug Court Professionals, Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and President-Elect of The Northwest Chapter of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
