Sterling Home Inspections of St. Augustine, Florida is headed by licensed Home Inspector Don Pires. Don has been in the construction trade for 30 years. He began his business on Cape Cod in 1986 as a general contractor, and in 2000 his business became Pires Construction Corp. He has built and remodeled a number of homes on “The Cape” and South Shore of Massachusetts.

Don and his wife purchased a home in Florida in 2005 and settled in St. Augustine. They completely renovated their first home, and now their second where they are residing today. This allowed Don to see the differences in construction techniques needed for homes in Florida. Constructing a home in Florida is not unique, there are some distinct needs, but the same practice is followed to have a well-built home.

In 2010, Don became a licensed Home Inspector in the State of Florida and has performed a number of inspections. He is confident that his hands-on experience and general knowledge of all aspects of home building and remodeling gives him a distinct advantage in home inspection.
