Insaf Kouba, MD

Dr. Kouba is a maternal-fetal medicine specialist at the Johns Hopkins All Children’s Maternal, Fetal & Neonatal Institute. She joined the hospital staff in 2024 and provides care at the main campus in St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital.

Prior to joining Johns Hopkins All Children’s, Dr. Kouba served as a clinical assistant professor and associate program director in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the New York University Grossman School of Medicine and NYU Langone Hospital–Brooklyn.

Dr. Kouba received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Roseau, Dominica. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York, where she was selected to serve as chief resident. She subsequently completed a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Northwell Health’s South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, New York.

Dr. Kouba’s academic and clinical interests focus on maternal mortality, severe maternal morbidity, and the impact of social determinants of health on pregnancy outcomes. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented her research at national and international conferences.

She is fluent in Spanish, Arabic, and French.
