Kate B. Prewitt, APRN

Kate B. Prewitt, APRN, is a pediatric nurse practitioner with Norton Children’s Medical Group – Lakeview. She earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Bellarmine University and her master’s degree in nursing from Spalding University, both in Louisville.

Kate has dedicated her career to caring for children and supporting families. After working as a mother-baby nurse, she chose to become a nurse practitioner to take a more active role in patient care. She also is a board-certified lactation consultant, helping mothers navigate breastfeeding and exploring various feeding strategies tailored to their needs.

Kate’s philosophy of care is centered on providing a compassionate, supportive environment where patients and their families feel safe and valued. She strives to empower parents, helping them feel confident and supported in their parenting journey, whether they’re breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or using other methods to care for their child.

Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband, their twins, and their lively rescue dog. The family loves outdoor adventures, arts and crafts, and exploring parks and hiking trails. In her free moments, Kate likes to read and listen to Taylor Swift — she’s a big Swiftie!
