If considering renting from this company here are some things you need to know:
Rhonda, Megan, Carrie are all in it for the fun and games- they are all rude and lie to you just to get you out of their office.
Depending on the address of the home determines how well they will treat you or not treat you and it also determines if they actually run a credit check or if they just take your credit app fee
If you are anything other than white, good luck as they are racist
They play games like changing the last digit of your phone number so the contractor can’t reach you for days on end
All their properties are unkept: they all have issues that they already know about but don’t want to fix
If renting a double-check to be sure your neighbors actually have a life and not just sitting around all day collecting a check with nothing to do. Also, Dorfman will listen to whatever the oldest tenant in that property says so even if they are lying on you, you will not be able to prove them otherwise
We had plumbing issues with the bathtub and water would run from upstairs in the bathroom down to the dining room floor-called and put in maintenance request. They sent one of their unhandy handy men over to take a look. Of course, they have to take pictures to get the work order approved for a contractor. After two weeks of the plumbers contacting the wrong number that Dorfman provided to them, they finally reached me and came out. This was an expensive job so I know they were mad. After the plumbers left I put in a work order to have the dry wall installed. They sent their unhandy handy man back over with 2 sheets of drywall like he was going to do something with that! They never came out again for about 2 months, so I called the health department which still took another 2-3 months before they finally got off their lazy asses and sent someone to cover the ceiling back up. We have had sewer issues in the basement that they take their sweet time to fix. All in all ill say that this was by far the worst rental company to ever rent from but hey I forced them to pay out roughly 20,000 for the roof, gutter, and plumbing repairs so ill say that it was a pleasure to vacate the premises when the lease termed! So glad that I never have to look back and rent from them every again in life!
