In Short
The Massachusetts-based Ninety Nine chain has successfully expanded into the rest of New England and beyond by offering huge portions of fresh food at wallet-friendly prices. Popular items include 10-ounce steakburgers,… Read Full Editorial

Hard workers by kzmyaz123 via Citysearch on 9/9/2007

You people are disgusting in the way you take something and turn it around to throw it in someones face. "Oh i cant get my burger rare" blah blah sit and cry why dont you. If you want to eat something rare you should have stayed home and…

Three Course Bistro Meal by bosox422 via Citysearch on 1/25/2007

I took my family to the 99 for dinner last night. My wife and I each got the Three Course Bistro Meal special. Wow! What a deal to get three courses for such a great value. I had Chicken and Corn Chowder, Pork Chops and the Brownie…

A Good Burger??? by lxrmxr via Citysearch on 2/8/2003

I wouldn't step in to a 99 for anything other than a cold beer. The food is bland and predictable. Nothing's fresh. It all comes kryo-packaged from their commisary ready to heat up, not cooked, but just heated up.

Think 2 Notches Above Friendlys by monstergreenleaf via Citysearch on 12/13/2002

The 99 is the 99 - nothing more, nothing less. Good if you're looking for a cheap(er) place to grab some quick apps with your after-work buddies, but as far as burger greatness - go elsewhere. Have no idea how this chain made the top-ten…

Are You Serious by Sabalom via Citysearch on 12/6/2002

The hamburgers at the 99 are at best pedestrian and at the worst so overcooked that they taste like sawdust. If you can handle the kids Friendly's gives you a much better burger at a lower price. (Of course no beer)

Fried fish by curmie via Citysearch on 11/15/2002

You can't get a burger rare! They won't sell it to you. I still prefer to take my life in my hands and eat my burgers rare, thank you. The fried fish is pretty good, though

Are You Kidding? by william_brennan via Citysearch on 11/14/2002

Best Burger? Are You kidding? Not even in the top twenty. Somebody got paid off....

no medium rare :( by kellgurl via Citysearch on 11/7/2002

I LOVE cheeseburgers- I order them in almost all restaurants. However, my only requirement is I must have my burger MEDIUM RARE. Not well-done, not medium-well, not medium. MEDIUM RARE. I want a juicy, bloody burger. The 99 will not…

UGH!!!!!!!!!!! by LovesFoieGras via Citysearch on 11/7/2002

You could not pay me to eat any meat from the 99, maybe because I was a cook for them and I saw the way the product was handled from freezer to walk-in to line to walk-in! YUCK>

A lil Slow by gasman_978 via Citysearch on 10/25/2002

There service was a little slow, but waiting is worth the food.

GOOD STUFF ~ DECENT PRICES by dvitaleD via Citysearch on 8/30/2002

In a town where almost everything is overrrated and overpriced, the 99 offers great cheeseburgers at a decent prices. The burgers are tasty and the portions are very generous. Usually I would not recommend a chain resturant but this is…

Always a Pleasure by esimches via Citysearch on 8/13/2002

Biggest problem with the burgers is the size..Too big. But thats never a problem when you are hungry. Love the 99s for the variety in the menu, and the casual atmosphere.

Humongious Buger by SpongeBobSquarepants via Citysearch on 8/11/2002
