In Short
Since 1996, JP Seafood Cafe has kept the neighborhood's countless young professionals happy by slicing and dicing fresh sushi. Those adverse to the raw stuff can choose from steaming bowls of noodle soup, dishes of flaky… Read Full Editorial

I love the Sushi at J.P. This is a great place to go for a quick bite or for a fun night out. Friendly service and Great Sushi Chefs
Really Good Sushi in JP by Lavie Organique via Citysearch on 5/17/2010
I had a great time at my last visit. I sat at the bar and dined alone for dinner but struck up fantastic conversation with the woman next to me, who ended up being a very interesting person. Good food and great conversation comes to mind…
delish! by Krista Z via Insider Pages on 1/9/2010
Very good sushi. Relatively inexpensive for sushi. I got out for sushi at least once a week and was able to get something out of the ordinary. I recommend the Sunshine roll.
Great Food by feliciadz via Citysearch on 11/8/2009
If your looking for good sushi and good Japanese food this is the place to go. After years of trying to find "proper" Japanese food we finally found it at JP Seafood. They also serve some terrific Korean dishes like Japchae & Gyoza( and…

Tonight we went to JP Seafood and FOR THE THIRD TIME IN A ROW ordered a SPICY TUNA HANDROLL where the spice was OFF THE CHARTS. NOT GOOD!!!! NOT GOOD!!! We were drooling and our mouths were ON FIRE for a good half hour. AND obviously we…
yummy by Jerome B via Insider Pages on 10/31/2008
The sushi is so delicious. I came here with a friend and we shared a platter. It was so worth it. In addition, the servers are great, and the prices are very reasonable. This place is very clean and many people come to dine.
Kick-ass Sushi by opensashime via Citysearch on 9/14/2008
The Omakase here is the best!!!!!! Great friendly Sushi Chefs, and servers. I also love their grilled fish dinners and Bibimbops. A Must Try: Scallion Pancake! YUMMMMM.. It's too bad that I don't live nearby, I would come here everyday.

one of the few places that delivers in jp...pretty good sushi and some korean food. usually get take-out or delivery, but their lunch specials are great for eating at the restaurant. friendly staff...
Have I become more discriminating, or have they just stopped trying? by weeblackscottie via Citysearch on 10/12/2006
Oh how I used to love this place!!! \r

But, geez....now that I'm a local and can't resist its convenience (location, location, location) I find that the food just isn't that great. In particular I'm referring to the maki/sushi....often…
Everyone knows your name + great food by dawneliz via Citysearch on 7/14/2006
If you are a regular here, they will get to know you quickly, know what you like and dislike, and bend over backwards for you (within reason!). The food is always good (the lunch box is a real treat); the bibimbop is the best I've had in…
Good sushi by jeff w. via Judy's Book on 5/24/2006
This place never lets me down. Its most striking characteristic is a hideously ugly facade. This doesn't prevent people who know its rep from flocking. The sushi and Korean fare are alway on-point. The servers I've had were…
JP needs another Sushi restaurant! by meredith4444 via Citysearch on 1/7/2006
As a JP resident I have seen the quality of this place decline over the years. Over time, the quality of the sushi has gone down and the prices have gone up. A lot of the sushi that I have gotten is overpriced and the portions and pieces…
A Nice Neighborhood Find by jillinboston via Citysearch on 7/11/2005
Located conveniently on Centre Street, JP Seafood has a huge menu, diverse in selection. From sushi to bimbibop, there is definitely something for everyone. The teriyaki dishes arrive at the table sizzling and include miso soup, rice and…
Great for Vegetarians by bcorr via Citysearch on 1/11/2005
As a vegetarian, I've often found sushi restaurants not that great. However, this one has lots of great options for those who don't eat fish. Because this is a combination of Korean and Japanese cuisines, there is a much greater variety…
sushi yes please by francod47 via Citysearch on 2/7/2003
This is a hidden gem , the food is great. Fresh, tastey, and realitively inexpensive. The atmosphere is a little hip and the room is comfortable. You are greeted with a smile and treated well for the whole meal.
Sushi-riffic! by pbcarpenter via Citysearch on 1/25/2003
The Bibimbab is very good, so is the Bul-go-ki! Order take-out if you don't feel like waiting in line for a table.
Super Sushi by paughjj via Citysearch on 12/10/2002
A wonderful, friendly local restaurant. THe outside makes it look like a Summer Shack or equally pain-in-the-ass fish-in-you-face restaurant. But its not. They've got a great sushi bar and a wonderful menu. I highly recommend it.
