Babar Shafiq, MD

Dr. Babar Shafiq is an orthopaedic surgeon fellowship trained in traumatology who performs surgery for acute trauma and adult reconstruction. As an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center. Dr. Shafiq is very active clinically caring for patients with a broad range of orthopaedic injuries and conditions. He has practiced orthopaedic traumatology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital since 2013 after spending 2 years serving as the Director of Orthopaedic Trauma at Howard University Hospital where he also completed his medical and residency training. In addition, Dr. Shafiq formerly practiced Physical Therapy after completing a master's degree prior to attending medical school.
