Doing Too Much by Disgusted Patron on 7/22/2023 I visited Exxon in Laurel almost everyday where I have needed gas in Maryland. Recently the workers and owner have decided to be beholden to a cult. I pulled up to get gas on a day when no one was at the pumps there, and a few minutes later the owner/attendant came out and started saying he had noticed how long I had been at the pump. I didn't know there was a time limit for you to get gas. That was my response. He didn't know what to say then I told him that there was a man not washing his car and not getting gas parked on the edge of the parking lot for 30 minutes, and no one said anything to him. Again he had nothing to say and no explanation for his outburst about time limits at the pump. Because he kept trying to have an argument with me, I simply informed him that I was aware that someone had called him about complaining about me at the gas station. I said," if someone call to have something that something to say to you about me then just say that." He made a face and just walked away. After which I decided to drive away and go to another gas station where I would not be harassed. But I did ask him, "You are aware that I come here for gas everyday, right?" He said yes. I guess he decided that complying with an ignorant complaint was more important than retaining a customer that he had for years.
