Melissa Ellen Blakeman, MD

Melissa Blakeman, M.D., is the regional medical director for Johns Hopkins Community Physicians (JHCP) in the Maryland suburbs region. Dr. Blakeman practices internal medicine at JHCP in North Bethesda, Maryland, where she previously served as the office medical director.

Dr. Blakeman serves as the Medical Director, Patient Access, for JHCP primary care. She is on several committees, including the Baldridge, Recruitment and Retention, Research and Projects, and Practice Standards Committees. 

Dr. Blakeman earned her medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She completed a residency in internal medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and was the chief resident for primary care. Dr. Blakeman has also completed Johns Hopkins Medicine's Transforming Health Systems for Accountable Care Executive Education Program and Leadership Development Program.

Dr. Blakeman has been repeatedly named a Top Doctor by Washingtonian Magazine and Washington Consumers' Checkbook.
