Shield’s has been part of Metro Detroit’s history since 1937. Our story began when Shield’s Bar opened at the corner of Davison and Shields Street in Detroit. Shield’s later began serving award-winning pizzas, ribs and salads and featured the ever-popular square, deep-dish pizza. We also offer other fantastic Italian dishes, along with a full bar with draft beer and cocktails, and over a dozen TVs playing the season's biggest games. Shield’s quickly became a landmark and a favorite gathering spot for families, politicians, athletes and public figures alike- and established a tradition of offering high quality foods at reasonable prices. Worst bartender I have ever had named Colleen. Pizza was ok, nothing special. She made the whole evening miserable with her poor attitude. She was rude to my girlfriend and was not attentive.

I'm addicted to the antipasto salad. I have it once a week. The pizza and sandwiches are great, too. I like the atmosphere, kind of bar-like. Carry-out is great, too - still burning hot by the time I get home.
