The instructors are great, don't get me wrong.... however, they're literally only in business for the money & it's been painfully obvious for the last few months.
My child is medically disabled & started to struggle with attending classes due to his disability. We had paid in full for his contract, obviously not knowing this issue would come up. He has not attended classes since the end of March, I've tried to reach out for some options from Dojo for him to either have private lessons out of our remaining classes in his contract (months worth!) or reimbursement, given the nature and circumstances.
Let's just say, I went ignored until I physically went in to speak to Chris. He was super "empathetic" to my face and said he'd talk about options at his next weekly meeting & would call me back. Never heard from him so I CALLED him the following week, and was rushed off the phone and promised a solution.
It's been weeks. We even brought in a letter from his medical provider stating the impact it would have on my 7 year old. I go completely ignored which is SO unprofessional. I understand there was a contract signed but given the nature of this, as it's a medically necessary reason for pulling him out, you'd think if they ACTUALLY cared about the child, they'd make an exception or offer a solution to make him comfortable (aka private lessons)
Beyond worst decision we have made. Steer FAR from here if you have a child who has ASD, ADHD or other medical conditions which could change their behavior- RUN. Do NOT sign a contract with them & DON'T fall for their sales tactics. Only wishing I did my research first instead of trying to help my kid. A simple search in the local Buffalo community group will see SO many people have issues with them.
