In Short
If you're here for burgers or nightly dinner bargains (Tuesday is brat night, then there's Taco Thursdays), grab one of the roomy wooden booths near the front door. If you're just here to hang out, head toward the pool… Read Full Editorial

This is my 2nd try at their JL and it's just burger with no chesse in the middle. Idk! Oh well, did like their service and they have a great menu as well. I still like the 5 8's JL so off to the Nook on my quest for the best JL in the Twin…
Groveland Tap by Justin P via Insider Pages on 4/28/2010
The Groveland Tap made a great impression on me during my first visit. It's a clean, cozy and welcoming little establishment. Their menu has many unique items, my favorite being the fried pickles. Whenever I am in the area (I live 120…
Groveland Tap by Debbie C via Insider Pages on 7/24/2009
Groveland Tap is a nice little neighborhood bar. Good service with casual atmosphere. I like their games and beer specials, and the burger's are delicious! I just wish they had darts.
Great!! by MenuGuru via Citysearch on 3/20/2009
Really good, Juicy Lucy's and Beer are always a good match! We'll be in again. Try to park on the street closest to the tap, otherwise it might take a while to cross with the traffic.
A Classic Neighborhood Bar by Donald R via Insider Pages on 11/28/2008
The Groveland Tap is your prototypical neighborhood bar. The tables in front are usually occupied, the bar in the middle is usually full and the game room in back is popular with the younger set.Along with a wide selection of beers, the…
nice family bar by Betsy L via Insider Pages on 1/22/2008
I visit the Groveland Tap often because it's close to where I work. I especially love the Garden Burger basket and I always know what to expect - the service is consistent, the food is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming and friendly.…
Good Burgers in a Nice Neighborhood by Alex W via Insider Pages on 1/13/2008
Groveland Tap is easy to go to, with good food and friendly service. It has become famous for its burgers, particularly the Juicy Lucy. They also have micro brews on tap that other restaurants in the area don't have. It is a great place…
5-Star Bar, 3-Star Menu by cubfanbob via Citysearch on 12/13/2007
First off, don't get me wrong: I love the Groveland - good beer selection and great atmosphere, it's what a neighborhood tavern should be. That being said, be careful when you order food; several of the menu choices are uninspired at best…
Favorite Twin Cities Bar by harrisfolk via Citysearch on 5/9/2006
Laid back, lots of fun. These reveiws are pretty old on here, so I'll recap: Went no-smoking prior to Saint Paul ban even going into effect, so that problem's gone. The new menu highlights a ton of favorites and I think includes a fish…
Could be better with a cook who cares... by kestondoswell via Citysearch on 6/1/2005
The Groveland Tap is a great neighborhood bar if you just want to meet for a pitcher or two of beer and some conversation. Unfortunately the two times I've actually eaten there I've been disapointed. The fish I got was all crusty…
New Menu is Crap by mysticpoet via Citysearch on 1/24/2003
A few months ago I discovered their heavenly fish and chips, the best in the Twin Cities. Now I return in January 2003 to discover they have a new menu and not only have they eliminated fish and chips entirely, but their other fish choices…
Good food/bad service by fishpaw81 via Citysearch on 12/27/2002
I really enjoy the local bar scene. It's cheap, easy, convenient -- everything you'd expect. But the bartenders are complete jerks.

This woody bar is really comfortable, the type that relaxes every part of you. The food is fine and the beer selection good. It is one of those places where nothing is outstanding yet the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
