Ghassan Kamel, MD

Dr. Ghassan Kamel specializes in acute and chronic pulmonary disorders, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and emphysema. He offers the latest in COPD and asthma treatment options, such as biologic, as well as providing care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).

Dr. Kamel is an assistant professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine, at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and is the director of the medical intensive care unit at SSM Health Saint Louis University hospital.

He is a member of the American Thoracic Society and a fellow of American College of Chest Physicians.
