complaint by s massey on 4/22/2023 On 4/22/23 I used their largest washer for a towel, full size bed sheet, twin comforter, and a large dog bed.The cost to wash was 10.50 for 32 minutes. I loaded the machine and waited in my car after setting my alarm for 32minutes. When my alarm went off, I went inside to move the items to the dryer. There was still 5 minutes on the timer.Once the washer was done, I noticed that upon removal of my items that there was cotton stuffing in the machine because someone had removed (unzipped) the outer covering of my dog bed from the inner stuffed mattress part and the mattress part had come apart; hence why the cover is left on the mattress for washing and drying.I questioned the lady working there doing laundry service for drop offs and she said she did not unzip and remove it but that that was a big load for the machine (I believe it holds 5 normal loads of clothes which I was well under the limit).Very sarcastically, I said it must have been a "Magic" machine to have unzipped a 36" zipper and removed it from the mattress. She laughed and said that she guessed so.I explained that by her doing that she had destroyed my dog mattress and was she going to replace it and she said noit was wash at your own risk!Is it unlawful (I know certainly unethical) to remove or handle a person's laundry if there is nothing malfunctioning with the machine and the items are not left beyond the completion of the cycle???
