Used to be a tenant of hers. When I started contacting her son about the house, he was very rude and unprofessional and it almost made me not even go look at the house but I gave it a shot. We looked at the little cottage, finally met Helen who is the actual landlord. She talked so much about redoing the bathroom and the kitchen, which was MUCH needed and we decided we thought we could live there if they were going to do renovations. It was very difficult to get a hold of them but eventually we told them we wanted the house and had a move in date of the 1st of January and that would give them time to do the upgrades. A few days later she called to tell me that she really needed to get the income for that house so they needed us to move in right away or she was going to show the house to one of her friends. That was not okay and I was very upset. I told her I bought we had settled on the first and she said yes but we really do need the income. This. Caused lots of tension between my boyfriend and I because he thought she was bullying us, which she was, but I didn't want to lose our place to live. We told her we could be in by the 18th of December but couldn't do any sooner. We signed the lease (her son made an inappropriate pass at my mother during the lease signing). During our tenancy, the upgrades NEVER happened, and the drain in the bathroom clogged and it took them 2 days to respond to my phone calls and texts. We had to shower at a friend's house both days. I actually got a text response after numerous messages letting them know what was happening that she was too busy and to call later. When we moved out, we made sure to clean the house, and she is now taking out 120 dollars from our security deposit to pay HER cleaning lady. I have left with a VERY bad taste in my mouth after dealing with these people and I feel as though I should warn future tenants.

I just recently ended a tenancy with this woman and I feel compelled to put out there what I wish I had known before getting involved with her kind. If you have ANY other options take it. This woman over charged us for a terrible house. Pressured us to move in earlier than we wanted to because she just wanted more money. I was only there for six months and in that six months and she was difficult to get a hold of, kept stringing me along with the promises of renovations (never happened) that we specifically told her to write into our lease which she did not. Now that I am out she is trying to nickel and dime me for everything she can despite the fact that the house looked better when we moved out than when we moved in. I could go on and on about this woman but at this point it feels redundant. To reiterate do not rent from her if you have any other option and if she is your only option I would have a very good lawyer lined up for when you move out. She is just about everything that is wrong with landlords nowadays.
