From an early age, I was inspired by the ability of doctors to transform lives and bring hope to individuals and families. I was particularly moved by surgeons whose commitment to serving others and improving patients’ quality of life left a lasting impression on me. The opportunity to combine scientific rigor with compassionate care solidified my decision to pursue a career as an academic surgeon. My approach to patient care centers on clear communication, shared decision-making, and respect for each patient’s unique background and needs. I am dedicated to providing evidence-based, minimally invasive surgical solutions while maintaining the highest standards of ethics, professionalism, and cultural humility. My clinical interests include minimally invasive and robotic surgery, foregut surgery, bariatric (weight loss) surgery, and hernia repair. I am passionate about advancing surgical techniques that promote faster recovery, less pain, and improved outcomes and quality of life for my patients. Outside of work, I enjoy playing with my son and daughter and having long walks with my amazing wife.
