I was drawn to health care from a young age. I wanted to do something that would allow me to use my aptitude for science while engaging with others. I have enjoyed my relationships that I have established with patients over the years. My role as an internist is to provide my patients with thoughtful recommendations regarding their health care. I try to listen to my patients and be present with them. This is a challenge in today's medical climate with high demand on a doctor's time. However, I find the doctor-patient relationship is fostered when the patient and I work as a team to provide their medical care. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family, hiking and travel.
