Pursuing a career in medicine allowed me to combine my fascination with the anatomy and physiology of the human body with my love for caring for people. I chose specifically to become a physician assistant (PA) because the training is robust and focuses on a collaborative care model. I believe patients deserve to understand their health, medical conditions, and treatment options. Patients may come to us feeling uncertain and vulnerable, so I prioritize compassionate care and education. I understand that patients may be seeing me for one medical condition, but many other things impact their life that must be considered in order to have the best outcome. My goal is for my patients to have an active role in their care so that we can work together to individualize their treatment plan to their goals and needs. When I am not at work, I enjoy traveling with my family and hope to visit as many national parks as possible. I also enjoy reading, playing volleyball, seeing musicals, and making flower bouquets and planters.
