In Short
The interior of Raleigh Times is made up of peeling paint, faded brickwork and soaring 15-foot pressed-tin ceilings juxtaposed with gleaming light wood floors and a contemporary room-length curved bar. Framed mementos of… Read Full Editorial
My Review by thelance via Citysearch on 4/11/2014
People come on now.. The Times is not known for the burgers and saying "used to be awesome before it got known" is well just showing your inner hipster. The Times is a classic Raleigh spot. It's right in the heart of the true downtown…

Best nachos in town! Be sure to get them with pork. Great atmosphere and beer selection!
Dont Eat the FISH by rhyan17 via Citysearch on 9/17/2011
we drove in to see some friends and headed down to The Raleigh Times for dinner.. What a mistake!! I ordered fish and chips and got 90% chips and 10% fish.. I also ordered fried pickles.. tasted great, but got 8 whole sliced pickles, not…
A Raleigh staple by pizzaguy2011 via Citysearch on 8/28/2011
If you like to drink great beer, eat awesome bar food and hang out with your friends in a great atmosphere then you will probably like Raleigh Times. If you don't then you should go get your head checked because you can't' wrong with the…
Won't go back! by Mr Snuggles via Citysearch on 8/23/2011
I had read that Raleigh Times had the best burgers in downtown. Went there to pick up a business lunch order that we called in. We were told it would be ready in 30 minutes. We get there and the bartender says our order is not ready. …
Raleigh Times are good times. by Relevant Eats via Citysearch on 4/5/2011
Raleigh Times Bar (RTB) impressionably is the center of the universe, if that universe is downtown Raleigh. I came to this conclusion during Hopscotch Music Festival when RTB hosted its own unaffiliated, day-long block party and it…
favorite downtown spot by KDRaleigh via Citysearch on 1/7/2011
I love going to Raleigh Times. Their beer selection, though somewhat pricey, is really creative. They offer some of the most unique and interesting brews. The food here is also excellent. I am really sad that they took the Pit bbq…
Great Food/Fair Prices by 2001carolinagirl via Citysearch on 9/25/2010
I enjoy the Raleigh Times because it is one of the few "hot" spots downtown that hasn't starting asking patrons to chop off an arm in exchange for a beer and a burger. With $3-$5 adult beverage options and $8-$14 meal options I eat here…
Best burger in Raleigh by EricRamse via Citysearch on 7/3/2010
We've been to the Times twice in the last few months and can't wait for each return. Service is friendly, the burgers are perfection, the Belgian beer selection is mind-boggling. This is a great place to bring out-of-towners for a great…
Used to be awesome before it became known by HarryNut via Citysearch on 10/29/2009
This bar is still great, but it's packed on Friday and Saturday nights with hipsters and fancy dressing young professionals. What happened to the t-shirt and jeans crowd? Nevertheless, you can't beat the BBQ nachos and the $6 pitcher and…
Hmmm by Tibia via Citysearch on 10/27/2009
My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant once a week and sit outside with our dog. We liked it so much we had the rehearsal dinner for our wedding here a couple of years ago. We like the food and although the service has always…
My Favorite, Still. by Cbrooke via Citysearch on 10/21/2009
I moved here from Michigan about five years ago and this bar still remains my favorite. Within these five years, I have yet to receive a bland or common meal. The changing menu is unique which leaves desire; consequently, returning…
Trendy & Pricey for what you get by mkathrynp via Citysearch on 7/23/2009
This place is only friendly for "artsy" (emo) types with too much money and not enough taste. The waitress was rude--I guess we didn't have enough tattoos and piercings to occupy her time. I had a pretty good salad--made bad because of the…
Fun atmosphere by K K via Insider Pages on 6/9/2009
Since the hamburger is ground fresh in house, you can choose the degree of doneness that you want. You do not have to take the standard well done like most places.
Good time, good food by Nicole C via Insider Pages on 6/9/2009
Raleigh Times is one of my favorite places to eat. I go there alot for lunch and absolutely love the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. The fries are awesome, but you have to get them a la carte, which is silly to me. And they serve ketchup on…
Great food great atmosphere by Lori E via Insider Pages on 6/8/2009
This is one of my new favorite places. Its low key but still in the heart of downtown and near Fayetteville St. The food is yummy, the staff is experienced and they have great beers!
Great bar! by Callie R via Insider Pages on 5/16/2009
The mixed drinks at the Raleigh Times are unique and delicious. It's rare these days to find a "new" mixed drink, but they offer several drinks that I have never seen elsewhere. It gets crowded on the weekends, but you still get great…
Awful Bar Service by raleightimesblows via Citysearch on 5/2/2009
I've never been to a worse place in my life. The bar stinks and the bartenders are complete jerks. I had two male bartenders that evening - both of them were cocky and rude, and had the worst attitude I've ever seen.
Tattooed, Smokin Hot Bartend-resseses...and they serve food, I think. by whiteythelawyer via Citysearch on 2/24/2009
Seriously...Greg, you're killing me with the talent in that place. (No offense to Katrina or any of the other wonderful ladies walking around that I can never have.) Even the dudes are cool as hell and willing to tell you anything about…
Hands down the best Burger in town by Sarah P via Insider Pages on 2/4/2009
This is hands down the best burger to be found in the area. They grind their own meat on site, so they are able to serve a medium rare hamburger. The food is always excellent. The atmosphere is hip and fun. The location is adorable.
