Millikan Farms

Unique barn wedding adventures officially began in 2010. A friend told her friend that she should use my horse barn to have her wedding in the barn loft. First of all the loft was a mess with hay bales everywhere and remnants of paint ball fights all over. If you look close at the walls, you will see paint splatters. Most importantly the wedding could not take place until some kind of access to the loft was established. Needless to say stairs with safety rails had to be built right away. The cleaning was complete and the wedding took place. What an exciting day to have a wedding in the horse barn.

After the wedding everything went back to normal for a while. Then BOOM about 3 years later, an event planner asked about having events at the horse barn. The events would be mainly weddings, which started the wheels turning. We had an open house in 2013 which brought many vendors to tour this new unique barn venue. We booked our first wedding reception and had our first official wedding take place on May 30, 2013. Needless to say that first year of 2013 was a success. Millikan Farms held several events and weddings in 2013.

I wasn’t sure what 2014 would be like. The only advertising I could afford was the free advertising, word of mouth, which is the best kind. Booking of events took off at Millikan Farms. When 2014 arrived and the year was booked with events, weddings and photo shoots, I knew Millikan Farms was here to stay. See What We Do

We are located near Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, Asheboro and many points in between. We offer an authentic farm setting that is rustic yet elegant.
You can have a small intimate ceremony or you can have an extravagant wedding. Millikan Farms is perfect for your wedding ceremony, wedding reception, rehearsal dinner or anniversary celebration.

Our barn can hold up to 200 guests. We have tables and chairs on site. The patio attached to the barn is perfect for your reception with a beautiful view of the lake. If you have ever wanted an outdoor wedding, this is the place to do it. If you plan for an outdoor wedding and the weather channel predicts rain on your special day, no worries, everything can be moved to the barn loft.
This historic barn dates back to 1938.
