When possible, I include my patients’ family members in our discussions. Providing comprehensive care means including a patient’s social and emotional support system. I draw on my years of experience to help my patients understand their condition and their treatment options. As an empathetic listener, I take the time to learn what’s important to my patients and help them make informed decisions about their care. Being a welcome resource in my patients’ lives during a challenging time is very rewarding.
