Dr. Safonova graduated from the Saint-Petersburg School of Dentistry in 1977 and completed a residency program in maxillofacial surgery in 1978. She went on to earn her doctorate of dental surgery from New York University in 1996. Dr. Safonova is a member of the American Dental Association and the Academy of General Dentistry.
