Raffaele Borriello, MD

Dr. Raffaele Borriello, M.D., F.A.C.S., is a highly accomplished general surgeon with over 30 years of experience specializing in complex abdominal surgeries, including liver, colon, and hernia surgeries, as well as breast surgery. Proficient in both robotic and laparoscopic techniques, he has served in leadership roles at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital and Long Island College Hospital. A dedicated surgical educator, he has been honored multiple times as Surgical Educator of the Year and recognized with awards such as the Warren Weitzel Educator of the Year and the Downstate Resident & Alumni Society Educator of the Year, reflecting his enduring commitment to clinical excellence and training the next generation of surgeons. He is currently the Chief of General Surgery and the Assistant Director of Abdominal Wall Reconstruction at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
