Michael Wu, MD, is a distinguished physician specializing in Cardiology and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology, holding an academic title as Assistant Professor at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. With extensive experience in diagnosing and treating complex heart rhythm disorders, Dr. Wu is dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.He completed a highly selective accelerated combined BS/MD program in New York City with Bachelor of Science (BS) from the City University of New York Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education, followed by Doctor of Medicine (MD) from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University - College of Medicine. Further specializing his skills, Dr. Wu completed residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at North Shore University Hospital and a distinguished fellowship in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology at New York Presbyterian Hospital (Cornell Campus). These advanced training programs have equipped him with the knowledge and proficiency to manage a wide range of cardiac conditions, particularly those involving arrhythmias.Prior to joining Lenox Hill/Northwell as the Associate Director of Electrophysiology, Dr. Wu served as an Assistant Professor at Brown University Health for eight years and as the Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship Director at Brown University Health for six years. During this time, he played a pivotal role in training and mentoring future electrophysiologists, further solidifying his commitment to medical education and research.Dr. Wu is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Internal Medicine/Cardiovascular Disease, and the American Board of Internal Medicine/Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology.
