John La Fever bought Black Cloud Chimney Sweeps, LLC in 1995. At the time, he only bought a client list from the previous owners that had served this market for the previous 43 years for chimney sweeping and cleaning. He has built the business today to over 1000 clients a year that he performs chimney sweeping and cleaning, repairs, and building too. In 2007, from his home, he opened a retail fireplace and stove showroom for his customers to better serve their needs. In 2015, he has outgrown his home retail store and opened a storefront showroom at 49 Main Street Unadilla, NY just minutes from Route 88. It's conveniently located with handicapped parking and numerous fireplaces and stoves in the showroom for clients to look at. He also carries a wide variety of accessories for your fireplace or stove. His son Jonathan is a second generation to join the team and his wife Crystal also works in the business to serve their local customers!
