Jean Claude Uwamungu, MD, is an attending cardiologist and Director of Global Health at University Hospitals Harrington Heart & Vascular Institute. He is highly skilled in the diagnosis and medical treatment of common and complex heart conditions, including coronary artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart valve disease and heart failure. Dr. Uwamungu is dual board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease, with additional certification in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. An active member of the American College of Physicians and American College of Cardiology, Dr. Uwamungu is passionate about chronic disease management and health equity in rural and urban communities.
